Vincent Lim from Team Maxxis surprised everyone with his newly acquired NOS'ed AE86 Trueno, where he fought his battles fiercely and consistently, earning him the win for the second round of the Star Drift Challenge 2009 series. The win also placed him on top of the championship point standings.

Vincent Lim piloting the NOS'ed AE86 (previously owned by Team Toyo driver Koh Kok Hoor aka AhBoy) to glory, coming in second highest in the qualifying round and winning the tsuiso battle round with superb consistency.

2008 championship 1st runner-up Tan Tat Wei also debuted his AE86 with bright red and new chequered decals. However, the car had a slight problem with the Nitrous system which leaves him a disadvantage during the final tsuiso with Vincent Lim. Tan took the 2nd place.

2008 champion T.Djan was the heaviest smoker of the day (as usual...). Despite not being able to qualify in Round 1, Djan scored the highest qualifying point and clipped his rear bumper off the rear clipping zone while drifting. Unfortunately, he spun out at the last corner during the semifinals with Tan Tat Wei and took 3rd place

Hanizam Hamzah aka Loyai from GT Radial Drift Team came in 4th place. The A31 also had a newly done bright red paint job and chequered decals. Looks like red and chequered are getting popular nowadays.

Mr K from Seremban, despite complaining that his car were underpowered for the difficult course, came in 5th place in qualifying with 97 points, only losing to Tan Tat Wei in the Best 8 with a 4 over 6 score
